Service-1 is a reference in the IT community and you certainly receive tons of emails every day, but, if this one makes its way through to you, I would very much like to give you a preview of the program we would like to submit on your website. I believe this could interest you and let you understand how it works.
I am the support manager of OutWit Technologies. We are the publisher of free applications that aim at making data collection on the Web simple and efficient. We would be glad to receive feedback from respected experts on the program we are about to launch for Firefox 3.
We have developed a powerful and simple Web search and collection platform for the general public. We are now releasing the beta of our first application using this technology: it is called OutWit Hub. (I put the release candidate online for you to try: http://www.outwit.com/downloads/OutWit_Pack.xpi )
The applications are countless from extracting your favorite photos of movie stars in a snap, to building a database of contacts or real estate ads… If you need a list of, say, software programs with the date and number of their last update, you can use OutWit to grab this information automatically from Wikipedia and easily produce an Excel table out of it.
This version is a Swiss knife, mostly designed to showcase the technology to advanced users. It contains dozens of features to automate tedious collection tasks and produce structured data out of Web searches. The next applications based on our platform will be one-purpose tools, destined to a wider audience: OutWit Images, OutWit Jobs...
OutWit Hub is a Mozilla Firefox extension, it is cross-platform and of course it's free. If you could test it and give us your feedback, it would be fantastic. We are longing for expert opinions to improve our technology.
