I have trouble with the word that is spelled out with one letter wrong or missing. The arrow points up or down. I cannot tell whether the program wishes me to indicate the arrow up so that the top will be spelled correctly or whether I am to have the arrow point down and have the bottom word be correct? Hence, I get most of them wrong even though I know the correct letter that is missing. Can you help me with instructions?

You should move the arrow up or down to complete the whole word. The missing letter is arranged as the letter sequence, e.g.: a, b, c, d, e... So carefully consider how to spell it, either up or down, you can get the correct word.
