With DVD ripper wizard, I keep getting the error
Could not connect splitter to decoder.
Tried re-installing....tried all the different compressor settings.....
keep doing it every time.

Help?

The point must be there's no directX in your PC or you have the lower
version of directX. So you must download and install one from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0A9B6820-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en
