Extreme Messenger for AIM : How to set Alert Words?
1, check the "Use Alert Words" option under the "Alerts" tab in the main options window.
2, next to the Add Alert button, enter a word or phrase that you want to use as your alert. You can optionally assign a sound file to play when your alert is used.
3, close the Options window and wait for someone to use your alert phrase!
When someone says your alert word or phrase, a message box will appear telling you who said it, and what word it was. You can click on the Alert message in the popup window to bring that IM to the front and center so you can talk to them immediately.
A Few Notes: Alert Words that you add will not be case sensitive. Meaning, if you add "Hello" to your alert words, and someone replies to you with "hELLo", the alert will still trigger. Alert Words are space sensitive. Meaning, if you add "Hello World" to your alerts, and someone replies with "Hello World", your alert will not be triggered because of the extra spaces.
