Wordlearn is an improved version of the well known flash-card system. It is especially designed to learn the vocabulary of foreign languages. But it can also be used to learn any other subject, eg. grammar or mathematics. Thanks to different powerful tools, working with Wordlearn is very efficient.

Test dialogs

You can choose from a verbal, a written or a multiple choice test. The verbal dialog is to learn a lot of words in a very short time. You just need to think about the answer and tell the program if you had the word correct or not. With the written test dialog, you can consolidate the vocabulary. The multiplechoice test makes it easy to learn words of a new vocabulary.

Verbal test dialog window
This window is to do verbal tests. This helps you to learn a lot of words in a very short time. After the question is asked, you just need to think about the answer and press "Go On". The answer is shown and you have to tell the programm if you were right or not.

Written test dialog window
With this window you can do written tests. By doing this test, the vocabulary is stored much deeper than doing the verbal test, but it requires more time. After the question is asked, you have to type in the answer. The program tells you if the answer was correct or not.

Multiple choice test
The multiplechoice test ist the fastest way to learn the words. You can choose, how many possibilities you have. Wordlearn asks a question and displays 2-6 answers. You have to choose the correct one.

Verb editor
With the Verb editor, you can add verbs and their conjugated forms to the list. You need to define the pronouns only once, then they are saved automatically in the list. Now you can type in the infinitive form and the conjugated forms for every verb. For each conjugated form, one entry is added to the list.

Text To Speech synthesis(TTS)
With Speech Synthesis (TTS) your Computer can speak the asked words. Using spoken and written language at the same time makes you learning the words faster and you learn also how to pronunciate the words.

Statistics / Wordgroups
There is a statistics pane in the Wordlearn main window. It gives you a short survey about your learning progress. It shows you, how many words you have never had correct, how many you have had correct only one time, how many two times and so on.
