MailScan is an mailbox previewer. Check multiple pop accounts and
preview the mailbox contents.. This feature is specially designed to avoid
potential security risks regarding the spread of macro viruses by email
attachments. MailScan has a browser like interface, and provides
basic information (ie: From, To, Subject and a preview of the message
contents) about all the messages in the user's mailbox.
The user can then choose to delete the message, drag and drop the whole
message contents into the desktop or forward the message to another address.
This feature is useful to counter attack spammers allowing a fast
email forwarding of the necessary header information to the law
enforcment agent.
MailScan has a SDI interface and the user can save the preview of a
given message to a text file archive. Multiple accounts can be
added to enable verification of multiple mailboxes.
MailScan has an automated verification of multiple accounts in
differents time intervals (15min, 30 min, 60min, 2 hours, etc). MailScan
will autodial to a predefined Dialup account and check if there are
email messages for download.
MailScan has also enhanced eMail filtering capabilities: you can
add eMail filters easily through the Filter Manager Window and enter
the patterns using the powerful Regular Expression syntax.
IMPORTANT: To enable eMail filtering capabilities you must have Internet
Explorer 5.0 or higher installed in your computer. Otherwise you must
install Windows Scripting Version 5.5 from the following link:
