Extensive choice of rules including domino backgammon : a new variation that replaces the dice with dominoes and allows players to think ahead instead of relying on the roll of the dice.
New Game Variations:
The action is fast and furious in Hypergammon - backgammon played with only three counters.
Nackgammon offers a more measured approach. With 2 extra counters on the 23 point you have to play much more cautiously than usual to progress.
Longgammon calls for a completely new strategy as both players start with all their counters on the 24 point.
Fayles - backgammon as it was played in the 1600s.
Mylis, another ancient backgammon game type.
Backgammon Challenges:
The Challenges allow you to play all the game types, in order of difficulty, as a series of single point matches. As you progress, a running total of points scored is maintained.
Try to improve and beat your own score. Compete in a series of matches, increasing in skill as they proceed.
Choose from a range of challenges from the 4 match Beginner to 64 match Advanced Challenge.
Dice Analysis:
Dice Analysis automatically tracks both players' dice rolls. At any point you can view a graph of both players doubles.
The dice analysis dialog displays a summary of the dice rolls for each player. The two graphs display the doubles rolled by each player, letting you compare the fequency of individual doubles as well as viewing a comparison between the doubles rolled by each player.
