Motion Detection is an experimental application that saves still pictures and/or makes .avi files when anything in motion is detected in front of the selected webcam. The pictures and the frames of the movies are timestamped.
Here are the few steps to complete before you can try the application:

- click the Detection tab if not already selected

- select the webcam to use if you have many video capture sources

- click the Options tab

- tick either or both options

- click the Storage tab

- click the Browse... buttons to select the storage path of pictures and/or movies

- select a picture format

- select a movie format (see notes)

- click Apply

- click Start to trigger the motion detection

- click the Detection tab again

- adjust the sensitivity
