ElectroComm allows you to connect to a Comm Port on a computer over a network using any Telnet client. It is useful for connecting to devices that support only serial communications in situations where a standard terminal program such as HyperTerm or Procomm Plus is typically used. ElectroComm permits Remote Administration of the device by allowing the administrator to connect to the ElectroComm Telnet Service running on the computer and, after entering the appropriate username / password combination, connect to any of the computer's Comm Ports.
ElectroComm now has the ability to log all activity on a Comm Port, including the ability to monitor all incoming and outgoing traffic and system messages such as successful and failed user connection attempts. You can now send system messages to the Windows NT event viewer, and log traffic in daily log files or over the network to a Syslog Server.
