Network Backups
Storing the backups on a different computer will provide additional security. There are many possible configurations using the network: all the workstations in the network may place their backups on a central backup server. Or you collect the backups on a central computer to do the archiving. VersionBackup Master is employed also to backup central data servers.

FTP backups
You can store important data even on a different site, sending them to the Internet. The backup versions, which are stored on a FTP server, are displayed and used in the same way like all other primary and externally archived backups.

External data Archiving
Of course you can design your backup system to delete the data after some weeks definitely. But it will be the better solution, to archive the backups on an external media. This media can be a CD or a DVD e.g.
The external media can be kept as long as it is desired. This way, you will have your complete backup stock still after years.
Additionally, the backups can be archived on your FTP server.
VersionBackup Master manages also the backups on the external data carriers. The automatic recovery procedure uses both the internally stored backup copies and the backups on the external media, which may be also a FTP server.

Compressed Backup Files
Data compression will save a lot of valuable storage space.
Because the backups are compressed in the common ZIP format, the advantage will be kept, that you can access them also without VersionBackup.

Encrypted Backup Files
Using the ZIP Password Protection, you can protect your backups against unauthorized access.
You can use any password you like. Furthermore, you can configure, if the password shall be stored for recovery operations or if it must be entered again for any recovery.

Creating Backups with Shut Down
You can configure the backup creation to be done at any Shut Down or Log Out. Or else, you define that the computer is shut down automatically after the backup copy run.

Detailed Scheduling
You can enter detailed rules for the time of the backup creation or the Full Backup creation.
It is possible to define the copy to be done on specified week days or specified days of the month. You also can set different clock times for each day of the week.

Automatic Copy Retry
If some files cannot be read during the regular copy run because they are blocked by another application or if the remote computer can not be accessed, VersionBackup will note these files because they still have to be copied. After a configurable waiting time, it will try again to copy them.

E-Mail Support
If a VersionBackup Master customer should have technical problems with the application or with his backup stock, he will get free e-mail support. This service is promised for three years after the license purchase.
