Multi-Drive Spanning: This new feature enables users to span backed up data onto more than one local/LAN location, this includes multiple partitions, hard disks, shared and mapped networked locations, SAN and NAS devices etc. This feature also allows purging of old backup archives.

New Backup Type (Differential Backup): Differential backup is a new backup type (method) supported in Genie Backup Manager. It backs up all new and changed files since the last normal (full) backup run. This backup type, consumes more space than increment and mirror backups, and is slower during backup, however, it is faster during restore, and requires only the most recent normal (full) backup and the last differential backup to restore.

Free Plugins Search and Download: You can now search for FREE backup plugins on the Genie-Soft website directly form the Genie Backup Manager interface and seamlessly add them to the default list of plugins provided with GBM.

Pre and Post Job Commands: Now, you can execute commands before and after a backup task. Use this feature to scan output backup files for viruses, run backup tasks in sequence, close applications that are blocking access to certain files, etc...
